Meet Allan Phoenix: Visionary Behind IT Self Defense
IT Self Defense was conceptualized in 2025 by IT technician, consultant, and instructor Allan Phoenix. Allan is also the owner and operator of Phoenix Technicians, LLC, a computer repair and consulting firm in Leesburg, Virginia. He has served residential and small business clientele in Northern VA, DC, and MD for the last 16 years. He is a graduate of the Conservatory of Music at Shenandoah University and enjoys teaching, composing, and playing piano.
Allan has cultivated a deep passion for digital safety, rooted in his early experiences navigating the unreliable landscape of the internet. His curiosity, paired with a strong desire to empower others, led him to explore every facet of CyberSecurity. From the moment he carved his path in this field, he dedicated himself to understanding not just the technology but the human elements at play.
Through his work, he aims to cultivate a community of well-informed individuals ready to confront the challenges of this digital age with confidence and clarity.

James is a CyberSecurity and Business Major at Virginia Tech, and has certifications in Security, Cloud, and Microsoft. James is passionate about educating people on how to properly use technology. In his free time, James enjoys biking and spending time with family and friends.

Sean is the website designer for the platform and has certifications in Security+ and Certified Ethical Hacking. He is participating in this organization to put his skills to use and gain more experience in the Cyber field. He does his best to make the local community a little better!

Yousef is an Information Technology Major at George Mason University where he also works as a Network Engineer. Yousef's goal is to see less and less people affected by online scams and hopes to inform people in anyway shape or form.
